Norton Singhavon

Founder & Principal

Norton is the founder and CEO of a Toronto Stock Exchange-listed issuer, a role he has held for nearly a decade, during which he structured more than $75 million in institutional financing and the company was ranked #49 on The Globe and Mail's Canada's Top Growing Companies in 2023. He established Cannera as the private vehicle for his capital and advisory activity outside that role, and is its sole shareholder and ultimate beneficial owner. He has also served on the board of a NASDAQ-listed healthcare company as Chair of the Audit Committee. Across his career he has led capital raises, M&A, and exchange uplistings on the TSX and NASDAQ, and built compliant export platforms in highly regulated, multi-jurisdictional environments. At Cannera he oversees principal mandates, strategic M&A, and counterparty control.

Kareem Baalbaki

Director, Procurement & Operations

Based in Toronto, Kareem oversees the office's supply chain execution and operational risk. He has held C-level and Managing Director roles across North America, most recently as Chief Supply Chain Officer of a consumer products company he helped scale from $10 million to $150 million in annual revenue. His work spans global sourcing, logistics network design, cost structure, and the governance frameworks that let high-growth and transition businesses operate to an institutional standard. At Cannera he runs the supplier networks behind physical asset transactions and procurement mandates, and ensures execution meets compliance and global logistics protocols. He holds an MSc in International Business from the University of Lincoln.

Dexter Lee

Director, Commercial Strategy – Asia

Operating from Singapore, Dexter is the strategic lead and on-the-ground oversight for the office's Asia-Pacific transactions. He has more than a decade structuring cross-border partnerships and high-volume distribution agreements, bridging North American and European manufacturers with Chinese and Southeast Asian supply channels, including regional portfolio and market-expansion roles for GE, Assa Abloy, and Bosch. Fluent in Mandarin and English, he coordinates directly with state-owned enterprises and tier-one industrial buyers, and his expertise lies in navigating diverse regulatory environments and building compliant commercial networks. At Cannera he oversees counterparty management, logistics alignment, and the secure execution of trade facilities across the region.
